Default 18+ Need help installing/starting/playing downloadable games

I'm having trouble playing Ayatsuri no Minuet, Mansion A Erotic Maid, Code Geass Lust Terrorist, and Naughty Wifes Sex Life.

It's not that the games are hard, it's just they won't start on my computer. I have vista, if that helps in any way. This computer should be able to run any high-end game, so I doubt it's a hardware problem.

The games I listed will either not have any sort of .exe file, of if I can install them, when I start them it will declare syntax error, thus unplayable.

Help please!

you need to first install Daemon Tools to install it. But I can't install it so that's as far as I can go....

Default Kirikiri games

These games use the kirikiri scripting engine (files with .xp3 extensions) and apparently need Japanese language support (wikipedia.org). Using Microsoft's Applocale I was able to get Code Geass to install but it still fails to run successfully at a line that includes Japanese characters in the code, not as a comment. Not sure if completely changing your windows locale would help.

Let's see...

Windows applocale is only compatible for Windows XP user and under. Which means, it isn't compatible with Vista. Dunno for 7.

Let's just assume you fail at installing or playing those games with applocale. I get the tutorial for switching to Japanese mode and I just copy - paste it. Though I can say I guarantee that you can play those games after following this. After all, my regional setting is always "Japanese (Japan)" and have no problem playing all Japanese games that I have.

So, for Vista user, follow this instruction:

  1. Click on "Start" then "Control Panel". This will open your "Control Panel" window.
  2. Click on "Clock, Language, and Region". This will take you into your "Clock, Language and Regions" folder
  3. Click on "Regional and Language Options". This will open your "Regional and Language Options" window
  4. Click on the "Administrative" tab and then Click on "Change system locale...". This will open the "Regional and Language Settings" window.
  5. Find "Japanese (Japan)" in the drop down list and Click it, then Click "OK" to close the "Regional and Language Settings" window window.
  6. Now on your "Regional and Language Options" window Click "Apply" then "Ok" and make sure to
    Restart your computer.
Don't find "Japanese (Japan)" on the list? Follow this then:

  1. Click on "Start" then "Control Panel"
  2. Click on "Check for Updates"
  3. Click on "View Available Updates"
  4. Find "Japanese Language Pack" and Install it!
Now "Japanese (Japan)" should be in the "Regional and Language Settings" list.

Hope this can solve your problem. Keep in your mind that I don't have those games so I can't help you if you have another problem when you play those games after following this. :P

I did also have to install Japanese language support. The Code Geass install doesn't seem to do more than create a program group and desktop icon however so you can just copy the files and get the same result.

Has anyone gotten the game to work with the system locale set to Japan? Kind of a drastic step for those of us without Japanese language skills. I've been able to get other Japanese games to work by renaming files.

yeah im running windows 7 premium 64bit, changed to Japanese locale, installed code geass perfectly using power iso, and is running right now. and everything (minus the game of course) is still in english so it doesnt cause any language issues. once JP is added to your language bar its an easy switch back and forth between JP and English
