40 Hour Famine, 2009
FGF Discussion About the 40 Hour Famine.
•What are YOU giving up? •How much money have you raised so far? •How will what your giving up effect you? Im giving up: Internet, Food, Furniture, My Drums, And My iPod/iTunes.  So far I havnt raised any money yet, because I found out that if you register as an individual then you can only get donations via credit card, so tomorrow Im gonna sign up with the school 40 Hour Famine group, so I am then able to get cash donations. I dont know how I will live without my iPod, it is basically my life line. Food will also be difficult as at least every hour I eat something. Furniture will be difficult, because that also means I can't go in a car, because Ill be sitting down in the car seat. I will have to catch buses (and stand up in the bus) to work and soccer. Giving up my drums wont be so difficult, so thats not so bad. I think giving up the internet will be hardest, as I wont be able to go on my two favourite sites (Facebook & FGF) And FGF is my favourite thing to do while Im at home. My friend is giving up internet and talking, I dont believe she will be able to do this, as she basically lives off the internet on her hip-top, and she never stops talking. The most creative thing I've heard of someone giving up is; theres a few people in my grade at school giving up sight O_O. Dedicated much? And it will be difficult coming out of blindness when the Famine is over, everything will be bright and hard to get used to again. I know this will really hit me hard and make me appreciate what I do have by giving up the things I love the most. To fellow 40 Hour Famine participants, GOOD LUCK!
