slipknot and disturbed are both my fav bands but it has to be disturbed because hearing DWTS for the first time on dawn of the dead made me like rock / metal / alternative ect music but slipknot are still ace....

both good bands but Disturbed is better by far.....Ten Thousand Fists was amazing.....and did any one hear that neither Disturbed or Slipknot will be at Ozzfest?? Its fucking insane....ozzfest isn't even worth going to this year!!!!

I prefer Disturbed, myself. My reasons are that David Draiman's vocals sound much better than Corey Taylor's. Also the guitars synchronize very well with David's voice, whereas the guitars for Slipknot are purely brutal thrashing.

Don't get me wrong though, I still like Slipknot!

I like them both but I have to say Disturbed. Disturbed just has better songs in my opinion. The vocals are much better than the ones from Slipknot. Also the guitar side works with the vocals very well. They don't try to overpower the vocals but still deliver powerful solos and sounds.

some of slipknots stuff is good like left behind full, wait and bleed, before i forget and my plague
but some of it makes me want to throw up, not because it is gross but because it sounds really bad
when u think about it slipknot isnt really that good a band
sure as musicians they are all great
but as a band they arent really that good

Hate to say it, but Disturbed definitely wins:
1. They don't try and scream their heads off. Ever notice how u understand a message better if someone is cold and slow rather than shoutn at u? Same applies here
2. Disturbed has some very good messages
3. Despite th e fact that many of their songs sund different, they also have this unity with each other which is hard to explain
4. Do u even understand what message Slipknot tries to give, or do u jus like all the noise?
5. Disturbed is way more melodic and moving, I can realte to it and it gives u a steady energy sorta thing
6. What kind of followers call themselves maggots anyways?

Bottomline : DISTURBED WINS by at least 65%. Sorry maggots, but slipknot jus dosen't cut it psat disturbed, even though some of heir songs are actually pretty good.

After comparing Disturbed's "Indestructible" album and Slipknot's "All Hope Is Gone" album, I've decided to change my previous decision to Disturbed.

Both albums are great, don't get me wrong, but I feel Indestructible has more solid and catchy songs than All Hope Is Gone. Though, it's nice hearing Slipknot's taking a more melodic approach to their songs in that album.
