Okay, we've all seen a lot of games that have their own movie versions (e.g. Resident Evil). Now, I want to hear your suggestions.
Which games would you love to see on the big screen? And why? Me, I would love to see the Final Fantasy 8 story on the big screen. They already have one for FF 7 (Final Fantasy Advent Children), so why not make another for FF8, right?

i'd like to see something from the metroid series, but i doubt they could ever make a good one that sticks with the overall storyline.
a zelda movie might be nice, like the final fantasies, there is no one overall story arc through the games |

For me, it would by all means be these games...
The game would be Brute Force, Halo 3, Halo Wars, oh and my personal favorite, RESIDENT EVIL 5!!! RE5 is just a friggin awesome game, same as the others, but RE5 iz da best by far! i have RE4, and iits come out on movie as Resident Evil: Degeneration, well... sorta... Meh. Peace. I'm Out. |

I recently watched a bit of the short movie that was made for Assassin's Creed. It looks pretty good, but I didnt watch all of it, the graphics are quite good. :]

Well if they are going to turn a game into a movie then I would go for call of duty since I like more actions and Counter Strike I guess

Well there is a new Tekken movie coming out. A good game but I bet they will ruin it with another crap movie.

I myself don't want to see any of my favorite games turned into movies because, as with books, the transition between the formats usually is not very forgiving to certain events or character personalities. Either by adding or removing key factors in one, or often both, areas and therefore ruining the original connection that players for with the characters, story, or even the game itself. Take the Resident Evil movies for instance. If your did not play any of the older games and had that connection to the world of those games you most likely enjoyed the movies. But if you were an old time fan of the games then you more than likely dislike, if not outright hate, the movies. Simply because the movies took the the setting of the games, with the exception of the Extinction, and used them as a vague basis. The movies completely changed if not removed characters/events from the story. I realize the some things are changed for time constraints that occur when making a movie and that some things have to be changed for various other reasons. But this brings up the question of if you can't do it right, then why do it at all?
Now I would like to see some of my favorite games turned into a anime or something similar so that even allowing for "artistic license" the producer can stay truer to the game. As far as which games I'd would like to see turned into a non-interactive format, there is a long list but the ones I'd like to see most are: Xenogears, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Perfect Dark, Starcraft, and maybe Golden Sun.
