America is one of the biggest and respected country in the world. But my question is that America respect the women or women is just for use like others things for the daily use.

America send the women, Aafia sadique to Jail for the 85 years on which putting lots of allegation. One of allegation is that she attack American soldier LOL. Can Aafia who is just 5 feet 6 inches tall attack the 6 feet tall Soldier who is well trained and powerful. American actually want to say that his soldier are weaker then the women who can attack on him.

    does america respect women?

when it comes to adults, yes men respect women. But middles school is a different answer. we were playing dodgeball and all the guys got the balls, not allowing any girls to get them.

    Ya got that right!...

I live in the U.S. and the fact we r supposed ta b the "gr8test respected nation" is a stikin joke! My god,our damn country places all our manpower in other countries and butts its nose in way to much of other peoples business,we cant even straighten out our own business here at home! From what I have studied back in school,we had a bit more of the worlds respect over 50 years ago,but since then the decline in that respect has increased at a exponential rate. Hell, theres even some countries that wont even honor our paper money and dont want anything to do with it.(Cant recall which ones right off the top of my head) Dont get me wrong,I have the gr8test respect for All veterans of all wars and conflicts, its not their fault they got caught up in those respective situations, our lousy government orders them to go. Its not like they really want to go,but this country has a stinkin law that basically states that if you are "ordered" by the government to go a war area, you do it or go to jail. Thats just plain wrong :fmad:, Who the h*** do they think they are?? Who died and made them God over the people? We r so disrespected nowdays and our protection is so flimsey, that I do beleive that maybe sometime in the future China could come here and literally kick our ass. Look at how much "manpower" they have. We r out numbered at least 100 to 1. And they dont have their military spread all over the world like we do! And I wont even touch the subject of "freedom". Thats another story in itself :roftl:. And for back up,my father is reading this as I am typing,he's 80 yrs old and served (by order of the government) in Korea right up ON the 38th parallel and saw some of the nastiest things you could imagine! He even agrees.I cant doubt somebody whos "been there and done that" long before I was around. I hope our country can get itself together before its too late! Sorry to go on,but our government rule really upsets me something terrible. Voting doesn't help, cause no matter who gets into any office, they end corrupted in a short period of time. Maybe they have forgotten "absolute power corrupts absolutely"........

It's shameful to see you have less patriotism for America than me, a Brit. Sure, invading iraq was maybe not the best move. Who cares though? The soldiers sent there? Wait for it. Signed up to go to war. So if they refuse to go fight who the government wants them to, they deserve to rot in jail. We should be willing to die for the countries that let us live in such luxury. So anyone who refused to fight in times of conscription deserve to be imprisoned. If you're not willing to fight for the rights your country provides you, why do you deserve them?
Props to your dad. People like him make up for their children. Who think skepticism = intelligence. I mean look at you, a 30-something furry, who hates their country. What if, instead of those particular urges, you were gay? In some countries, the government will arrest you, maybe even make you disappear. And yet, you live in the USA, where not only can you live in a way that suits you, even if others don't agree with it, you can slag off those rights through the anonymity of the internet.

BUT ANYWAYS. That was all off-topic. America is the capital of the western world. One of the countries where women have to same rights as men. So you can take your stupid Borat country and shove it OP. So, you're trying to say the way the US government handled a terrorist subject who took a gun off a US soldier and tried to kill him and his fellow soldiers, shows a lack of respect towards women? How about the way sharia law talks about women? How they're verdict in a court of law counts less than a mans? How a woman who is raped and aborts her baby can be sentenced to death? maybe some americans hold sexist views. Maybe society subtlety encourages this sexism. But the country itself isn't nearly as sexist as others.

Hey, I apologize! I think I put my response in the wrong thread? I didn't mean to offend ya! As far as respect for my country, yes I do have some. But my mother and grandmom was born in Scotland and told me that when our guys were in the London area in WW2 they were a bunch of disrectful "hoodlums" that went around acting like "they were all that". And they also forced themselves on young girls and got a bunch of them pregnant, then just up and left them. I've talked to my grandmom there and she confirmed that. So maybe ya can why I dont have 100% respect for this country? I did serve our military, proudly, but had the highest respect for fellow human beings, friend or foe. I too dont agree with the way some countries treat people, but unfortunently I guess there's just no changing that? Humans are just that way. Yes,I'm glad to have the freedoms I have, but I believe they have come at a high moral price.Again,I'm sorry to have offended ya.

    They do...
I'm not a big fan of America but they do respect their women enough, possibly even too much.
Here in Australia if I women hits a man, he's earnt it, if vica versa occurs, the man is violent against women and is, from that moment onward, frowned upon. Now, I know what you're thinking. "What's wrong with that, guys shouldn't hit women". You're right, they shouldn't, but women see this as meaning that they are, in turn, allowed to hit men. This SHOULD be frowned upon almost as much. It isn't, ergo we treat women with too much respect (as do Americans)

I don't really know because most of the girls around me are cliche preps that are too lazy to do much of anything, so they obviously don't help the situation for those who aren't like them.

The problem with this being accepted, is that women abuse the shit out of it, women know they can do what they want and not get hit, they will abuse both verbally and physically because they believe that they wont be struck back. It pisses me off so much how they do that.

    Plight of woman

It will not be wrong to say that woman is considered as an object instead of a human being because of too much objectification everywhere. this is not a proper conduct to woman rather its an extremism from one state to another extreme state. but we have so many other issues to get resolved besides woman' status.

The feminist war on beauty must end. Not only does it result in extreme abuses against the better specimen of womanhood, but it does not even benefit women's empowerment or women's standing in society.
