    I'm doing a race in java where I have to get my contestants lined up evenly spread out along a line. The line starts 50 in from the edge and continues for 200.

    The equation I've put up right now looks like:
    50 + (i + 1) x 200/n, where 'i' counts up from 0 through all contestants and 'n' is the number of contestants.

    It looks quite good but the last one always seem to be just a pixel or two out of place, is there something wrong with what I've written or are my eyes fooling me? ;)

    N = i + 50 x 4

    N= 50i x 6

    N= 200i

    Good answer

    Good way of putting it

    But the way you have wrote that is as if (i) is 4 then 50i would bean that it is 200 anyway so x that by 6 you would get 1200 ?? I may be wrong
